A funeral service for Mrs. Zelphia Mae "McDougle" Johnson, 89, of Marion, La., will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021, 10:00 AM at Conway Baptist Church in Marion, La. Interment will follow in Conway Cemetery in Marion, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Officiating the services will be Bro. DeWayne Ramsey with Bro. Glen Nale and Annette Daniels assisting.

Mrs. Zelphia Johnson passed away on September 9, 2021. Mrs. Zelphia took pride in raising her five children and cared for all of her grandchildren dearly. A few of the things Mrs. Zelphia enjoyed throughout her life time were keeping other children, being outdoors, and caring for her many pets. Mrs. Zelphia was a loyal friend in her community and she loved helping others. She was an excellent cook and loved cooking for others. Mrs. Zelphia practiced her Christianity by serving the Lord, denying herself by putting others first, and doing good deeds unto others. She was a faithful member of Conway Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Zelphia was loved and will be dearly missed by many.

Mrs. Zelphia is preceded in death by: her husband, Henry Cecil "Red" Johnson; brother, John Allen McDougle; sister, Lena Inez Till; her sister-in-law, Daphne McDougle; and her special friends, Melba Jean Kyle, Zimma Gray Futch and Ruby Odom.

Survivors include: her two sons, Henry Cecil Johnson Jr. (Laurie Myers) and Scotty Lynn Johnson; three daughters, Arlene Simpson (Ernest Wayne), Brenda Gail Black (Rex) and Angela Smith Murphy (Mike); one brother, James Otis McDougle; three sisters-in-law, Patricia Brasher King, Wanda Brasher Johnson and Beth McDougle; eleven grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren; her special friend, Margaret Dollar, along with numerous family and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Donovan Bailey, Dakota Black, Morgan Albritton, Nick Albritton, Randall Stansbury, John Russell Stansbury, Justin Ramsey and Blake Ramsey. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Mamaw Mae's children that she kept during her lifetime.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Conway Baptist Church in Marion, La.
