A memorial service for Mr. Woodie Paul Dendy, 73 of Bernice, La, will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Pisgah Baptist Church in Bernice. Officiating the service will be Bro. Ken Reeves and Bro. Matt Taylor.

Mr. Woodie was a 1969 graduate of Bernice High School. He worked for Hinton Oil Service and Wilammette in Lillie and retired from Great Lakes Chemical Company in Eldorado, Arkansas. Mr. Woodie was a family man and loved providing for his wife Sharon and his children. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and taught them all how to drink coffee, tell stories, and say bad words. He loved to hunt, fish, take naps, and drink coffee on the porch. He was a great man and will be dearly missed.

Mr. Woodie was preceded in death by his parents: Woody Melton and Monette McCoy Dendy; brother: Christopher Dendy; and sister-in-law: Debra Harlow Dendy.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years: Sharon Dendy; two sons: Eric Dendy (Chastin) and Clay Donaldson (Kendra); two daughters: Stacey Dendy (Chris) and Tracie Taylor (Matt); grandchildren: Alexis Dendy, Clarissa Donaldson, Ashley Lyles (John), Dakota Donaldson, Bryce Donaldson, Kinsley Donaldson, Ragan Dendy, Zachery Doster (Bonnie), Madison Taylor, Justin Taylor (Kayle), and Hannah Taylor; great grandchildren: Hudson Doster, Ava Doster, and Allie Taylor; brothers: Bruce Dendy (Karen), Danny Dendy (Kathy), Jeff Dendy (Amanda), Kevin Dendy (Sherry), and Kenny Wayne Dendy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
