William Allen
Terral
May 26, 1938 — Apr 19, 2025
Downsville
Funeral services for Mr. William Allen Terral, age 86 of Downsville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Farmerville with Bro. Kurt Auger officiating. Interment will follow at Downsville Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
William graduated from Downsville High school where he excelled in basketball and baseball, earning a baseball scholarship to NLU. William met his wife at the A&W Root beer in Farmerville and they were married in 1959. His career started early in life working on the pipeline and as a contractor foreman for Greater Monroe Homes. He began assisting Mr. Tinker Savage, learning how to be a master craftsman and later started his own company. William traveled through the state of Louisiana, creating a successful career and learning valuable lessons by being competitive and holding a higher work ethic than most. William was known for giving and his Christlike ways of always paying it forward. He and his crew framed up many churches in our area at no cost for labor. He built two parsonages and assisted Mt. Ararat and Antioch in their construction and placing carpet. William also enjoyed helping his community by planting gardens to feed anyone in need. He enjoyed all sports, fishing, and deer hunting, but he loved his family and his Church more than anything.
William was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Lee and Geneva Allen Terral; sisters: Tina Mae Terral and Daisy Livingston; brothers: Robert Lee Terral, Jr., Jordan Grey Terral, and Thomas Wesley Terral; father and mother-in-law: Thomas and Inez Chevallier; and brothers in law: Johnny, Tommy, Don, and Gary Chevallier.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Annie Ruth Chevallier Terral; three children: Willliam Tracy Terral (Penny), Donna Ruth Terral, and Mark Allen Terral (Julia Ann); grandchildren: Chris Terral (Corina), Heather Nichols (Chris), Phillip Terral, Allen Ebarb (Alanna), Tara Brownfield (Austin), Seth Terral (Amanda), Sara Justofin (Jesse), J. Ebarb, and Nora Justofin; sisters: Geneva Sue Terral, Sammie Beuscher, and Bobbie Savage; his brother: Charles Terral (Pat); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
