A private family visitation and memorial service for William "Shug" Shirey, 66, of Marion will be held from 10:00am-noon Thursday, June 28th at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Rubin Weaver officiating.
Mr. Shirey went to his heavenly home June 27, 2018. He's been a resident of Union Parish since 2015 and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mr. Shirey was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Willie Earl & Ethel Shirey, 1 brother, Johnny Shirey and 1 sister, Betty Armstrong
Left to cherish his memory are his sons: John David Shirey, Jason Clint Shirey (Liz), and Adam Shirey (Jordan); daughters: Kristi Whitehead and Joni Shirey; brothers: James Houston Lofton and Earl Shirey (Kay); sisters: Frances Burnside (Terry) and Gloria Tucker; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
