A graveside service for Mr. William Shady Laster, Jr., 83, of Marion, La. will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, 2:00 PM at Rocky Branch Cemetery in Farmerville, La. Bart Miller will be officiating the service.

Mr. William Laster passed away on December 19, 2021. Mr. William was a good, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a hard worker, and he enjoyed caring for his cows and doing the daily chores to keep up his farm. William would spend any idle time he had sitting on the porch while drinking a cold Dr. Pepper. He was also a member of Haile Church of Christ. Mr. William was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

William was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Carter Laster; granddaughter, April Laster; brother, Aubrey Laster; and parents, William and Mittie Ann Laster.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Keith Laster and Terry Laster (Wendi); grandchildren, Thomas Joe Laster, Shady Laster, Dylan Laster, and Colton Laster; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, L.J. Laster, Mary Ellen Miller, Barbara Nolan, and Katie Ann McKinnie; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
