Obituary

Services celebrating the life of Wesley Jinks, will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 at his home church, Antioch Baptist in Farmerville, LA. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until the service starting time. Officiating the service will be Bro. Rubin Weaver and Bro. Paul Carter. Graveside services will be held at Loch Arbor Cemetary in Swartz, LA under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Wes was born on July 13, 1933 and passed away from earth to his heavenly home on April 7, 2018. Although he was born and raised in Swartz, Farmerville has been his home for over 55 years. He was the owner of TEC Enterprises and Diamond J Brangus Ranch. He was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church and knew the Bible and the Lord very well. Faith, family and farm were three things he lived for. He was a service man and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shriner. Wes had a big love for people and his family, and was a friend to all. One of his favorite things to do was sit on his back porch with a cup of coffee and good company. He spoke alot of wisdom on that porch. Wes was a true cattleman. He loved his home and his yard. He could sit for hours on end watching the cows graze and the hummingbirds feed. Summertime on the farm was always a passion of his, bringing forth hours of tractor riding and hay baling. Just recently he found a love for breeding farm puppies and was always excited to see a new litter arrive. Watching sports was a favorite pasttime, especially baseball. If there was a ballgame on, you can bet he'd be watching.
Most important was the love he had for the Lord and his family. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life for 51 years, a daddy who loved his girls, a father in law and friend, and a precious grandfather, "Pop". He shared a special bond with each of his family members and was a rock for everyone.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pearline Jinks, his parents WL Jinks and Lily Hare Jinks, two brothers LE "Joe" Jinks and Huey Jinks, three sisters, Sara Jinks, Bonnie Jinks Cady and Sue Jinks Johnson.

Loving memories will always be held in the hearts of his survivors: two daughters, Carol Jinks and Donna Tucker and husband Tommy; two grandchildren, Mitch Tucker and wife Heather and Michele Wood and husband Heath; three great grandchildren, Hagan Hollis, Ryder Tucker and Presley Tucker and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Von Freeman, Lee Moon, Kendall Terral, Eddie Albritton, Bat Brantley, and Bobby Grier. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gerald Savage, Larry Allen, Bill Felton, Bill Waller, Billy Dixon and Gary Booth.
The family would like to say a very special thank you to two incredible caregivers, Ms. Jackie Kenly and Mrs. Marilyn Wayne as well as the staff at the Farmerville branch of The Fresenius Dialysis Center.
