Funeral services for Wendy Michelle Gaspard, age 46 of Laran, La are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27 ^th , 2022 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Laran, La under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2022 and Saturday August 27, 2022 from 2:00 till time of service at Hopewell Baptist Church.

Wendy was a loving daughter, mother, Ninny -Boo and friend. She enjoyed visiting new places and spending time with family and her friends. She loved riding ATVs, mud rides, and riding backroads while listening to music and just having a good time. Wendy was a wonderful nurse and loved her patients as they also loved her very much.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Frank and Sadie Nale Knight, paternal grandparents Robert and Delores Lockwood Miller, Uncle Danny Miller and cousin Brad Knight.

Wendy is survived by her mother and father Jeanette and Jimmy Miller, three sons Andrew Hicks (Sam), Jacob Hicks and Joshua Gaspard, five grandchildren Greyson Hicks, Brooklyn Hicks, Asher Hicks, Cam Gooden and Mattie Gooden. Her sister Kacey Smith (Jeff) and numerous cousins and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Tamara Johnson, Carrie Mason, Toni Hammons, Jeffery Miller, Ben Barnes and T'Narrio Elliott. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Kacey Smith, Ginger Chandler, Amber Knight, Paula Herrington and Cheyenne Herrington.

Wendy faced her illness, never waving nor giving up hope. She had a fighting spirit to battle what was placed in front of her.

The family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Association or to Farrar Funeral Home in Wendy's name to defer funeral expenses.
