Graveside services for Vickie Jo Womack Darden, 63, of Bernice will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Pine Grove cemetery with Bro. Robert Earl Smith officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville. (there is no planned visitation)

Mrs. Darden was born on October 28, 1952 and went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2016.

Vickie was a retired Registered Nurse for over 20 years working at several hospitals and Home Health services in Union and Lincoln Parish as a dedicated nurse. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she wrote her devotions for the church and The Bernice Banner for several years until M.S. took her ability to write the little things in life that meant a lot to her about her awesome God.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Ottis Womack; and niece, Tracy Davis.

Mrs. Darden is survived by her caring, loving and devoted husband of 36 years, David Darden; 3 sons, Dusty Darden & wife Janda of El Dorado, Ar., Ryan Darden and Casey Darden both of Shreveport, La.; 2 brothers, Cyrus Davis & wife Nancy of El Dorado, Ar. and Johnny Womack & wife Chris of Vancouver, Wa.; 1 sister, Gwen Pilgreen & husband James of Bernice, La.; 2 grandchildren, Dylan Darden and Taylor Jean Darden of El Dorado, Ar.; her beloved dog, Pepper; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and family.

Pallbearers are Dylan Darden, Logan Puckett, Hubert Jolley, Sam Grafton, Jimmy Lewis, Billy Sandifer, Mike LaRoe and Jeff Blackwell.

The Deacons of Pine Grove Baptist Church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
