A grave side service for Mr. Troy Wesley Whitman, age 72 of Choudrant, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Dean Cemetery in Marion, LA with Bro. Aleck Nyegaard officiating, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Troy was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He loved wood working, refurbishing old furniture; he enjoyed buying and reselling vintage items (better known as "Junkin"). Troy retired from the US Army after 20 years as a construction engineer. After retiring from the Army, Troy worked and retired from the City of Ruston where he worked as the water and sewer Director.

Troy was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Jearlene Whitman; brothers: James Roy Whitman and Grady Earl Whitman; and his sisters: Carolyn Ferguson and Linda Akin.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Dorothy Whitman; sons: Chad Whitman (Jessa) and Shane Whitman; grandsons: Dustin, Reed, Justin, and Renje Whitman; and his sister: Beverly Cook (Glen).

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.
