Obituary

Funeral services for Toni Pearson Grier, 62, of Farmerville, La. will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Antioch Baptist Church with Bro. Rubin Weaver officiating.  Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Toni went to her heavenly home on Friday, November 6, 2020 in Houston, Tx.  Toni was the love of Bobby's life and he was hers, both spoiling each other very much.  Both stood by each other through good and bad times.  The hardest part of their journey was them being separated by this pandemic, yet their love, faith and caring manner stayed firm.

Toni's life revolved around her husband, daughters and grandchildren.  Not having any favorites, she never missed being at her grandchildren's ballgames, even through her treatments in Houston, she would always show up.  Family beach trips were a tradition, and she got to enjoy the beach that she loved so much, this past summer.  Toni looked forward to baking each grandchild their birthday cakes each year and decorating them to perfection.  She was known by her children and grandchildren as Nomi, the sweetest and prettiest of them all.  Having faced this disease, Toni was a trooper, still helping anyway she could and taking care of all of her family.  Her faith never wavered and her goal was to love and care for her grandchildren and let them know that she would love them until the very end.

Mrs. Grier was preceded in death by her mother, Jo Anne Bennett Smith; maternal grandparents, J.D. & Vera Ray Bennett; paternal grandparents, W.S. & Thelma Burns Pearson; mother & father-in-law, Jim W. & Madoline McMaster Grier; sister-in-law, Linda Grier Barron; and brother-in-law, Bob Anderson.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 42 years, Bobby Grier; three daughters, Kylie Grier Jones (Ben), Kassidy Grier Bennett (James) and Kelci Grier Rodgers (Trey); father and step-mother, Billy Floyd & Judy Pearson; seven grandchildren, Laynie Danielle Jones, Lylah Claire Jones, Landry Kate Jones, Joley Anne Bennett, Jentry Lynne Bennett, Trace Stanford Rodgers and Grier Axton Rodgers; two sisters, Terri Pearson Gregory (Rice) and Tammi Pearson Anderson (Johnny); sister-in-law, Peggy Jane Anderson; brothers and sister-in-law, Dewain Barron and Jimmy Grier (Joyce); and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Alex Grier, Marcus Grier, Jesse Grier, Chris Barron, William Gregory, John Richard Anderson, Jed Anderson, Carey Anderson and Patrick Anderson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dwain Barron, Rice Gregory, Johnny Anderson and Jimmy Grier.
