Timothy "Tim" Alan Alford, 63, passed away on June 8, 2026. Born on April 8, 1963, Tim lived a life marked by hard work, kindness, and a deep love for his family and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie Alford and Lee Royce Alford; his maternal grandparents, Troy and Ouida Nolan; and his paternal grandparents, Ray and Elma Alford.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his wife, Fran Alford; his children, Colt Alford, Secret Alford, and Zach Alford; and his beloved grandchild, Diesel Alford. He is also survived by his sister, Terri Booth (Scotty); his brother, Tracy Alford (Jodi); his stepmother, Syble Alford; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jesse and Kim. Tim spent much of his working life at the chicken plant, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. Later in life, he found great joy in serving as a Walmart door greeter, where his friendly spirit and welcoming smile touched countless lives. He also proudly served his community as an investigator with the Union Parish Sheriff's Department for two and a half years.

A lifelong lover of baseball, Tim was especially known for his role as a leadoff hitter. He had a gift for connecting with others, never meeting a stranger, and if there was a buffet nearby, you could be sure Tim had already made himself at home.

Tim will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he encountered. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Farmerville on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Farrar Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
