Funeral services for Mr. Tandy Dorsey Key Jr. age 77 of Farmerville, LA will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 25, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Morris officiating. A graveside service will be held at Springhill Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 25, 2025 under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

While attending El Dorado High School, Mr. Tandy began working at the local A & P Grocery Store.   In 1978 he purchased the Fair Mark Grocery Store in Sterlington La. which was the beginning of a very successful lifetime career as an independent retail grocer. Three years later Tandy opened the Big Star grocery store in Farmerville, La. He later expanded to Harvest Foods and SavUmor throughout North and Central Louisiana, employing hundreds and making a significant economic impact. This chain of family run grocery stores continues to be operated today by his two sons.

In his spare time Mr. Tandy enjoyed working in his yard and traveling across the United States near and far. He was once an avid and accomplished golfer. Tandy loved working and sharing life experiences with his family.

Tandy was preceded in death by his parents: Tandy Dorsey Key Sr. and Jessie Kirby Key Thigpen; his wife Martha Sue Key; son Rickey Morris; and sister Delores Wright.

He is survived by his two sons, Scott Key (Terry) and Terry Morris (Stacey); special companion and friend, Nell Williams; eight grandchildren, Shawn Key (Sierra), Brandon Morris (Stephanie), Alisan Rutland (Ben), Justin Morris (Hilary), Abby Morris, Kaitlin Ferrington (Dylan), Holli Abate (Tyler) and Bethany Emfinger (Grant); and 17 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Risinger, Andy Gladney, Tracey Brantley, Jason George, Jeff Vanemburg, and Robert Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Maurice Linam, Charles Eason, Ed Morgan, Daryl Herrington, Roger Williams, Jason Baker and Sam Cartorie.

The family would also like to thank Lisa and staff at Stoneybrook Memory Care Assisted Living for their care and dedication.

Visitation will be held at 9:30 AM, prior to the service, at Farrar Funeral Home, Monday, August 25, 2025.
