A funeral service for Ms. Sylvia Denise Hodge, 70, of Farmerville, La., will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, 10:00 AM at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Marion, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Ms. Denise passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. Ms. Denise loved singing all types of music. She was a talented actress, a writer, and an avid reader. She loved to cook and she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was also a member of Conway Baptist Church. Ms. Denise will be missed by many.

Ms. Denise is preceded in death by her parents, Zack Hodge and Wilma Hodge McKinnie, along with her step-dad, Joe Ollie McKinnie; and her brother-in-law, Ralph Darden.

Survivors include her siblings, Phyllis Darden and Michael Hodge (Wendy); her nephews, Matthew Brown (Jenna), Jules Darden (Erica), Justin Hodge (Destiney), Jonah Hodge (Katelyn) and Toby Darden (Jessica); her niece, Naomi Baudoin (Steven), along with numerous great nieces, great nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La.

Pallbearers for the funeral service of Ms. Denise will be Matthew Brown, Brennan Brown, Reese Brown, Jules Darden, Ridge Darden, Justin Hodge, Sage Guillory and Steve Gentry. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonah Hodge, Toby Darden and Jase Darden.
