Funeral services for Steve Brantley, 66, of Farmerville, LA., will be Friday, July 23, 2021, 10:00 AM at Farmerville Church of Christ in Farmerville, LA. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Taylor Cemetery in Farmerville, LA under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville, LA.
Mr. Brantley passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson 's disease. Steve taught his children and family the value of hard work, morals and ethics. He adored his children and grandchildren very much. Steve also enjoyed landscaping and loved to work in his yard and flower beds. He was also very handy in carpentry, plumbing, welding and electrician work. Steve worked 38 years with Davison Transport in the body shop and was also a driver. Deer hunting was his favorite pass time and he loved his church dearly.
Mr. Brantley is preceded in death by his parents; Joe and Barbara Dean Brantley and granddaughter; Bridget Tucker.
Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years; Lora "LG" Futch Brantley, two sons; Carey Brantley (Nancy) and Wade Brantley (Katie), one daughter; Heather Brantley, four sisters; Teresa Morris (Jonathan), Leesa Taylor (Dent), Loree Towns (David) and Jennifer Thompson, one brother; Kendel Brantley (Sheila), 6 grandchildren; Brooklyn Russell, Emma Brantley, Kayla Weaver, Logan Weaver, Gray Brantley and Mallie Jo Brantley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Farmerville Church of Christ in Farmerville, LA.
The family of Mr. Brantley would like to thank the staff of Union General Hospital, Arbor Lake Nursing & Rehab, Dr. Jessica Wilden and the staff at Tri-State Neurosurgery for their loving care and compassion during the last months of Steve's life. Also special thanks to friend and caregiver, Doris Fields.
