Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Ruth Tucker Jackson, age 88 of Farmerville, LA will be held at 2:30 PM March 23, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kurt Auger officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Branch Cemetery  under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM till the time-of-service March 23, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Shirley was born in Bernice, LA and a 1954 graduate of Crowville High School as Co- Valedictorian. She attended NorthEast Louisiana State College where she received her Bachelors in Music Education in 1959. Mrs. Shirley was a member of Delta Omicron Fraternity for Women and she sang Soprano and played many instruments. She sang Opera in college and was lead Solo Soprano. Mrs. Shirley was an active member of First Baptist Church Farmerville, LA. She loved planting flowers and picking wild flowers. Mrs. Shirley also loved to read and had read every book in the Bible several times. Her greatest love was playing with her grandkids.

Mrs. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents: Jesse Clifton Tucker and Cassie Farrar, her husband of 37 years: Marvis Gene Jackson, seven brothers: Wade Tucker, Joe Tucker, J.C. Tucker, Terry Tucker, Charlie Tucker, Claude Tucker, and Barney Tucker and one sister: Margaret Tucker.

She is survived by two daughters: Jennifer Gates (Michael) and Karen Rose Marshall (Bryce), one son: Kerry Jackson, four grandchildren: Paul Tyler Eubanks (Kaitlyn), Kristan Laurelle Marshall, Kaitlyn Nicole Marshall, and Bradley Heath Eubanks (Brooke), one great granddaughter: Lettie Mae Eubanks and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Paul Tyler Eubanks and Bradley Heath Eubanks.
