Farmerville

Obituary

A celebration of life service for Mrs. Sheri Cooper Taylor, age 52 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA with Bro. Adam Holloway, Bro. Kurt Auger and Susan Risinger officiating under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Sheri will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, grandmother "Lolly", and daughter. She was an inspiration to many many people that she came in contact with, touching hundreds and hundreds of lives. Sheri took on her illness with a warrior attitude, a fighter, never giving up. She loved unconditionally. As she was taking treatments, her love of people and caring for those who were battling cancer showed up as she befriended a patient and took her around M.D. Anderson. Sheri helped calm her and explain what was in store in the days to come.

Sheri was a 1989 graduate of Farmerville High School and a member of the Beulah Baptist Church. She was employed by Union General Hospital in the Human Relations department. Sheri was a giver with her life and loved people. Her smile will never be forgotten. Her greatest asset was that she loved God and gave Him all the Glory for everything she faced. She was a Christian and will never be forgotten.

Mrs. Sheri is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Elbert Charlie Cooper and Gertrude Reid Cooper and maternal grandparents: Otis Walker and Geneva Smith and Curtis Rachal.

She is survived by her husband Paul Marc Taylor, two sons: Cody Nolan and Tanner Huff, one step son: Matthew Taylor and wife Casey, two brothers: Kevin and wife Hyla Cooper and Kane and wife Damaris Cooper, nine grandchildren: Gabrielle Hill Taylor, Landon Taylor, Addison Nolan, Peyton Morris, Adelyn Abshire, Madelyn Nolan, Kaison Abshire, Briggs Taylor, and Cooper Taylor, her mother: Sharon "MeMe" Cooper Bell, her father: Ken and wife Sheryl Cooper, and special friends: Deanna Henderson, Jennifer Thomas and Sandy Smith, all employees and staff at Union General Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Farmerville, LA.

The family request that memorial donations be made to the Susan G. Komen For the Cure at Komen.org, in her honor and most importantly they encourage people to help those who have cancer in any way you can.
