A memorial service for Shellie Rodgers Futch, 69, of Farmerville, La., will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in Farmerville, La. with Rev. Hank Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in Farmerville, La. prior to the memorial service.

Shellie Wynell Futch was called home to meet her heavenly father on April 4 ^th , 2022 at the age of 69. She was born on March 6 ^th , 1953 to Inez Malone and was raised by her mother and adoptive father, Coleman Malone, in Farmerville. She explored a variety or careers. Shellie was always eager to learn as much as she could. To further her education, she attended Northeast University, LSUS and then earned her paralegal degree in Houston, Tx.

Shellie brightened the lives of her many friends and family with her quick wit, excellent sense of humor, and her kind heart. She brought love and laughter with her wherever she went, and was always impeccably dressed stylish. Shellie was a lifelong, devout Christian. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas, and her generosity was only matched by the skill she had in giving and fantastically wrapping presents. When she was not attending church at First United Methodist, she was helping her neighbors or pursuing her numerous passions. Shellie doted on her beloved white poodle, BeBeaux.

Shellie was preceded in death by her father, Coleman Malone.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Inez Malone; sister, Amelia Burton (Jimmy); nieces and nephews, Tony Brantley (Tina), Todd Burton (Toni), and Traci Walters (Jerry); great-niece, Bailey Brantley; and great nephew, Tyler Brantley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Stein Baughman, Bill Nevala, Lavelle Dodd, Tarence Andrews, Buddy Fisher, and Henry Rodgers.
