It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shanon Blane Rosson, age 50, of Farmerville, Louisiana. Shanon passed away on February 20, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Aleck Nyegaard officiating. Interment will follow at Enterprise Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

A lifelong truck driver and mechanic, he spent much of his life on the road. He was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and LSU football, and his love of music was something he carried with him throughout his life. His most recent position, however, was the one he was most proud of; papaw.

While Shanon was known for many things, his infectious smile was the most unforgettable. He had a way of lighting up any room, and his warmth and kindness will be greatly missed. Anyone who truly knew Shanon, knew how deeply he loved his family.

Shanon was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ralph and Louise Rosson, Donald and Jimmie Dell Day, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his loving parents, Jimmy and Brenda Rosson, his two daughters: Bonnie Doster (Zach) and Lexi Canales (Blake), his brother Benji Rosson (Jessica), his sisters Amber Hudson (Dylan) and Emilee Rosson, along with his three beloved grandchildren: Hudson, Ava, and Lane—his most treasured possessions. Shanon is also survived by numerous nephews, who were dear to him.

Shanon will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, February 23, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home.
