Funeral services for Mrs. Shannon Colvin Matthews will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Downsville, La. Interment will follow at Mt. Ararat Cemetery in Downsville, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shannon Matthews passed away on July 23, 2021 in Downsville, La. Mrs. Shannon loved her family dearly. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her world revolved around her family. Some of her hobbies consisted of gardening and working in her yard as well as antiquing.

Mrs. Matthews is preceded in death by her daughter; Sarah Williams, her father; Bill Colvin, and her brother; Shane Colvin.

Survivors include her loving husband of 16 years; Mark Matthews, four children; Savannah Womack (Jeremy), Jason Matthews (Ashley), Danna Jo Finkley (TJ), and Austin Matthews (Lyndse), ten grandchildren; Anna Grace Womack, Joshua Womack, Jaxson Matthews, Mason Matthews, Brantley Matthews, Nolan Matthews, Bella Ovitt, Sawyer Ovitt, Layla Matthews and Vanessa Matthews, her mother Janet Colvin Albritton (Parky), one brother; Billy Colvin (Susan), and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.

Visitation is set for 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 26, 2021 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La.
