A funeral service for Mrs. Frances Smith, 79, of Spearsville, La., will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022, 3:00 PM at Antioch Church of Christ in Spearsville, La. with Bro. Tommy Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery in Spearsville, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Antioch Church of Christ in Spearsville, La., prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Frances Smith passed away on December 30, 2021. Mrs. Frances was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Frances loved and spoiled her husband, and she doted over all of her grandchildren as well. Some of the things Mrs. Frances enjoyed doing were cooking meals, gardening, fishing, and she loved to sing and spend time with her church family. She liked to travel, but she loved coming home. Frances was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Clois Patterson; and grandparents, Clellan and Minny Bryan, and Tom and Alice Patterson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her best friend and husband of 62 years, Rodney D. Smith; sons, Gregory D. Smith (Susan), Andrew W. Smith (Teresa), Matthew B. Smith (Carol), and Jheramy P. Smith (Misty); grandchildren, Bryan Smith (Brooks), Tim Smith (Amber), Ryan Smith (Lacey), Samuel Smith, Elizabeth Adams, and Allison Smith; great-grandchildren, Parker Smith, Holloway Smith, and Patterson Smith (on the way); sibling, Lynn Johnson (Jimmy); along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Smith, Sam Smith, Tim Smith, Ryan Smith, J.J. Johnson, and Kevin Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Smith and Jeff Smith.
