Funeral services for Mr. Roye Dwain "Buddy" Ludwig, age 80 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Antioch Baptist Church located at 3501 LA HWY 828 Farmerville, LA. Bro. Rueben Weaver and Bro. David Burns will be officiating. Interment will follow at Enterprise Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mr. Buddy was a 1961 graduate of Farmerville High School where he played baseball and football. Upon graduation, he attended SAU where he excelled in football. He was an avid bass fisherman and he loved camping and fishing at one of his favorite spots, Lake Greeson in Arkansas. Mr. Buddy was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandkids play ball. He especially liked going to the boat races with his sons and family. During his lifetime he worked many years as a Diversified Crane Operator with Lion Oil and other companies. Later he owned his own business as a welder. Mr. Buddy will be dearly missed.

Mr. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, John Dennis "Peck" and Reita Mae Ward Ludwig; sister, Sue Ludwig Kennedy; and special uncle and aunt, Mitchell and Nellie Brasier.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Brantley Ludwig; two sons, Matt Ludwig and Mitch Ludwig (Erin); daughter, Misty Halley (Kenneth), two step children, John Pittman (Hope) and Cindy Qualls (Carl); grandchildren, Lauren Halley Jones, Kennon Halley, Prestin Smith, Paisley Ludwig, Anna Grace Ludwig, and Joshua Ludwig; and 17 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Wallace, Albert Dunn, Darrell Ford, Noel Daniels. Robert Franklin, and Buddy Jackson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Billy Scarborough, Earl Shirey, and Art Rainwater.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Alzheimer's/Dementia Association or the charity of your choice.
