A memorial service for Mr. Roy Cleve Johnston, age 97 of Marion, LA, will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Roy was born March 17, 1926 in Haile, Louisiana to Wesley W. and Mary Canterberry Johnston and passed away on September 02, 2023 in West Monroe, LA. He was a U.S. Navy W.W. II veteran, where he served as a Radio Man in the "Lighter Than Air" Corp, in the Blimp Division. Mr. Roy retired as an electronic engineer, having served in the military and ran his own company suppling components and parts to our Military for over 50 years.

Mr. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 60 years, Marion Blumberg Johnston; and a great grandchild, Kiel Schurmacher.

He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Reed and her husband Ken; son, Brand Johnston; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Morrow and Katie May McGough; and a number of nieces and nephews.
