Funeral services for Mr. Rondal "Shim" Lee Stripling, age 63 of Marion, LA will be held at 3:00 Pm, Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Haile Baptist Church with Bro. Robin Cox and Bro. Mike Murry officiating.

Shim went to Linville High School. He started harvesting different trees from the DeLoutre and Ouachita River with his dad, constructing poles of all sizes. Shim was employed for a long period of time in the oil and gas industry and this is where his got his name "Shim". He was a mechanic, running shut down jobs. Shim finished his career with the Union Parish Police Jury working in Road Maintenance. He loved to run dogs, fish, cook for his family and especially loved spending time with his wife, family and friends. Shim often enjoyed aggravating his family and friends just to get a laugh out of them. One of Shims favorite past times was to visit the Boats (Casino).

Shim was preceded in death by his son: Michael Brantley; parents: Robert Hardy and Georgia Yvonne Snell Stripling; brothers: Robert Glen Stripling and Reggie Stripling; and his sisters: Kaye Stripling, Annie Olla Brantley, Velda Stripling, and Charlotte Stripling.

He is survived by his wife: Rhonda Brantley Stripling; sons: Justin Stripling (Cassie) and Christopher Brantley (Heather); daughters: Kassie Miller (Gary) Dana Stripling; grandchildren: Hollan Stripling, Thorne Stripling, Khloe Stripling, Kierstin Brantley, Aaron Brantley, Blu Brantley, Adelynn Miller, Isaac Ramsey, Bailey Cleckler, Jacob Cleckler, and Seth Stripling; two great grandchildren: Aria Landry and Caleb Ramsey; brothers: Dillar Stripling (Jewel) and Roger Stripling (Cathy); sisters: Deb Waller (Marshal) and Sharon Farrar; and numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Haile Baptist Church.
