A funeral service for Mr. Roger Dell Martindale, 69, of Farmerville, La., will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, 10:00 AM at Crossroads Baptist Church in Farmerville, La. with Bro. Jeff Freeman officiating the service. Interment will follow in Lee Family Cemetery in Waterproof, La.
Mr. Roger Martindale passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Roger was a wonderful husband, a great father, and a loving grandfather. He was a one-of-a-kind person, and to know him was to love him. He loved any type of car racing and NASCAR was his favorite. Roger also enjoyed being outdoors. He was a gardener and always grew the best tomatoes. He also loved to hunt and fish, and he enjoyed raising chickens. Roger loved spending time with his family, especially with his mother. Roger was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
Mr. Roger is preceded in death by: his loving wife, Gloria Martindale; his brother, Kenneth Martindale; his father, Robert Martindale; and his step-father, O.M. Frith.
Survivors include: his children, Charles Martindale (Christy), Sharline Martindale, Becky Johnson (Jamie), Amy Wood (Rusty), Beth Price (Trey) and Jacob Dennis; his mother, Dovie Frith; his brothers, Mike Martindale (Velma) and Richard Martindale (Carol); his sister, Cindy Barham (Wayman); his step-brother, Don Frith; his eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, a host of friends and other family members.
Pallbearers for the service will be: Jamie Johnson, Rusty Wood, Wyatt Martindale, Curtis Bearden, Jeremy Hollingsworth, Trey Price and Brandon Porter. Honorary pallbearer will be Frank Spohn.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Crossroads Baptist Church in Farmerville, La.
