Funeral services for Robert Glen Stripling, 71, of Marion will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robin Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Linville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Stripling was born December 27, 1947 and passed away on November 11, 2019 in Farmerville, La. Mr. Stripling enjoyed commercial fishing, was an avid hunter and loved anything in the outdoors. He loved farming and raising hogs and dogs. Mr. Stripling was a jack-of-all-trades and could fix almost anything that was broken. He was a happy person who enjoyed joking and always had a smile on his face.

Mr. Stripling was preceded in death by his son, Robert E. "Robbie" Stripling; parents, Bobby & Varner Stripling; grandparents, Dink & Stella Snell; three sisters, Annie Ola Brantley, Velda Hickman and Charlotte Stripling; and brother, Reginald "Reggie" Stripling.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Stripling; daughter, Angela Dumestre (Buzzy); three brothers, Roger (Cathy) Stripling, Randy (Jewel) Stripling and Ronnie (Rhonda) Stripling; three sisters, Kay Stripling, Deb (Marshal) Matlock and Sharon (Glen) Farrar; two fur babies, Buster & Lucy; special cousin, John Charles "Nutt" Snell; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Justin Stripling, Michael Benson, Beaux Benson, Chris Snell, John Kevin Dupree and Josh Dupree.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael "Buckshot" Benson and Hank Snell.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
