Peggy Burson, 73, was born on September 30, 1945 in Hope, Ark. and went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 19, 2019 in Farmerville, La.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Zion Hill Baptist Church on Cypress Creek Road with Dr. Connie Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
She was a graduate of Hope High School and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Peggy spent over 40 years in the insurance industry, working everywhere from agency management to claims adjuster.
Mrs. Burson was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Joyce Duke; one sister, Cornelius Duke; and three brothers, Jessie Duke, Bruce Duke and Gerald Duke.
Mrs. Burson is survived by her husband, Walker Burson; daughter, Devonda Hand & husband, Barry; son, Lee Thomas; four granddaughters, Kaylee Thomas, Emma Thomas, Madison Hand and Ryleigh Hand; three brothers, Winston Duke, Joe Duke, and Johnny Duke. She is also survivied by special friend (granddaughter), Chloe Ray; and a host of other friends and relatives.
Honoring the family as pallbearers are Todd Young, Ron Manning, Jeff Ray, Jim Peace, Ronnie Grantham and David Duke.
