A graveside service for Ms. Peggy Stansbury Ginn, age 85 of Farmerville, LA, was held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Sardis Cemetery.

Ms. Peggy retired from the Union Parish School Board cafeteria after 21 years. She was fondly known by many younger students as Mama. Ms. Peggy had a servants heart and always made sure children were served a lunch even if they couldn't pay for it. At Halloween, Ms. Peggy would dress up to put a smile on the children's face. She was known for her delicious homemade rolls and cakes. Ms. Peggy always had a positive outlook on life. She was a longtime member of Sardis Baptist Church and later First Baptist Church of Farmerville.

Ms. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Carine Bearden Stansbury; husband of 63 years, David Lynton Ginn; sister Dorline Cole; brothers, Zollie Stansbury, Dalton Stansbury, and Albert "Junior" Stansbury, Jr.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
