A memorial service for Mrs. Patsy Sandifer, 78, of Bernice, La., will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, 3:00 PM at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Bernice, La. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM prior to the memorial service at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Bernice, La.

Patsy Lynell Dollar Sandifer was born on August 1, 1943 to Crawford and Eleanor Dollar of Huttig, Arkansas. She passed away on December 1, 2021 at home with family in Weldon, La. She married Billy Sandifer in 1962, and they raised two children, Angie and Eddie Sandifer. Pat, Miss Pat, or Mamaw, whichever name you knew her by, had an impact on the lives she touched that will last a generation or more. From raising her own children to helping with both grand and great-grandchildren, she always made time for family.

Pat taught numerous years of kindergarten at Claiborne Academy and eventually worked in the cafeteria. She left the school and opened a daycare in her home where she expanded her heart to include so many children in her life, many of which are still in contact and continued to call her Miss Pat today. In her own words, she 'closed the daycare and went to take care of big babies' at the Claiborne Manor.

Pat had a lasting impact on everyone she met. Whether it was up at Corney Lake correcting a LDWF agent or helping a new or old fisherman catch more fish, she was always willing to spend her time helping or educating anyone she met. Pat will be remembered by many, and her impact on this world will live on for generations to come.

Pat was preceded in death by: her parents, Crawford and Eleanor Dollar; brother, Gerald Dollar, Sr.; and nephew, James Dollar.

Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband, Billy Sandifer of Weldon, La.; two children, Angela Sandifer Brazzel (Adam) of Weldon, La., and Eddie Sandifer (Lisa) of Senatobia, Ms.; brothers, Curtis Dollar of Greenbrier, Ar., and Johnny Dollar of Huttig, Ar.; grandchildren, Sylvia Brazzel Davidson (Kristian) of Ruston, La., Christopher Brazzel (Morgan) of Homer, La., Doltan Nagy of Las Vegas, Nv., and Aly Sandifer of Senatobia, Ms.; great-grandchildren, Jackson Garcia, Huxton Morris, Conner Nagy, Kimber Brazzel, and Billie Mae Brazzel; nieces and nephews, Sharon Dollar, Geraldene Dollar, Darlene Dollar, Bubba Dollar, Beverly Dollar Toms, Melissa Dollar Hemphill, Keeli Dollar, Joel Dollar, John Michael Dollar, Melissa Sandifer Lawson, Melanie Sandifer Mills, Kimberly Sandifer Steir, Wendy Guin Harville, and Brad Sandifer, along with numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
