Funeral services for Mr. Orville Ben Doster, age 80 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Beulah Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Adam Holloway. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mr. Orville was born and raised in Farmerville and graduated from Spearsville High School in 1961. He was a Deacon at Chenier Baptist Church from 1968 – 1980. Mr. Orville was an avid fisherman and loved to garden and be outdoors. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, was a dedicated grandfather who loved his grandchildren, and above all he loved the Lord. After his retirement, Mr. Orville traveled the country building churches with The Master Builders.

Mr. Orville is preceded in death by his parents: Ben and Myrtle Whittington Doster, daughter: Teresa Cockerham, two sisters: Dorothy Wright and Opal Lester, and one brother: Herman Weldon.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Shirley Trevino Doster, two daughters: Anita Cross (Terry) and Angela Austin (Glenn), son: Orville Ben Doster, Jr., sister: Laverne Vaughn, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Orville Doster, Jr, Zachery Doster, Terry Sims, Devin Scott, Caleb Austin and Brandon Sims. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Levi Davidson.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home.
