Funeral services for Norman Patrick Tassin, 58, of Choudrant, La. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 22, 2021 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Hank Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Rayville, La. at the Northeast Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Mr. Tassin passed away on February 11, 2021 in Choudrant, La. Norman was well known at any of the local baseball fields and was a Teacher and Coach at Marion High School and Downsville High School. He helped coach the Marion High School Baseball team to win the 2006 LHSAA State Championship and Downsville High School Baseball team to win a 1 st place position in the 2016 LHSAA State Championship game. Norman also served his country in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. He loved his family and will be dearly missed.
Mr. Tassin was preceded in death by his parents, Pete & Polly Tassin.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 24 years, Stacey Hennen Tassin of Choudrant, La.; two sons, Caleb Tassin and Luke Tassin both of Choudrant, La.; three brothers, Joel Tassin (Darla) of Mansura, La., Mike Tassin and John Tassin both of Pineville, La.; three sisters, Naomi Gates (Warren), Suzanne Cheatham (Steve) and Lisa Vincent (Marty) all of Pineville, La.; two brother and sisters-in-law, Benny Hennen (Connie) and Charles Payne (Pam) all from Choudrant, La.; father and mother-in-law, V.A. & Joyce Hennen of Choudrant, La.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Seth Tassin, Bill Bump, Chris Hines, Jake Tassin, Guy Tassin and Benny Hennen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Tassin, Caleb Tassin, Jared Tucker, Landon Hennen, Carter Bradshaw, Zeb Payne and Chris Payne.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. ~ 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
