Funeral services for Mrs. Nan Ferguson Skains, age 94 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 7, 2023 at Farmerville First Assembly of God with Bro. Robbie Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nan attended school in West Monroe and was married to Mr. Bennie B. Skains for 58 years. She was a pipeliners wife and took care of the children and the home until she was able to travel with Bennie. Nan faithfully served the Lord and played the piano at First Assembly in Farmerville for over 35 years. She began playing at the age nine for the Childrens Church at First Assembly in West Monroe. Nan loved her family and taking care of Bennie after his accident. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Nan was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Bennie B. Skains; mother, Nan Ferguson; daughter, Sharon Shaughnessy; grandsons, Ronald Adkins and Chris Hutto; and two brothers, Murry Burnaman and R.E. Ferguson, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Marlin Maddoux (Kathy); Bobby Maddoux (Nancy); daughters, Cindy Skains,  Vicky Key (Red), and Teresa Hutto (Billy Don); grandchildren, Stefanie Chaison, Shannon Shaughnessy, Frances Shaughnessy, Marlin Maddoux, Jr. (Amy), Carol Maddoux, C.O. Maddoux, J.R. Maddoux, Samatnha Hicks (R.J.), Misty Francoeur (Marc), Bradley Bryan, and Holly Farris (Clay); 15 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM prior to the service, Sunday, January 7, 2024 at First Assembly of God of Farmerville, LA.
