A funeral service for Mr. Monte Dwain Platt, 65, of Farmerville, La., will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, 10:00 AM at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on November 24, 2021, 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La.

Mr. Monte Platt passed away on November 20, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Monte loved gardening and working in the yard. He also enjoyed a good cup of coffee and always had a cup in his hand. He was a trucker for over 40 years, and for the last 8 years, he hauled wood chips for Auger Trucking Company. He is finally reunited with the love of his life, Anna, whom he has missed dearly. Monte was loved and will be missed by many.

Monte is preceded in death by: his wife, Anna Platt; and his parents, Luther and Gladys Platt.

Those left to cherish his memory include: his brothers, Fred Platt, Benny Platt, Terry Platt, and Douglas Platt; his daughters, Myra Conley (Todd), Cathy Reeves, Kimberly Knoles (John), and Terry Reeves; his son, Jose Reeves (Lashea); eighteen grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Norma Ramos (Bobby); along with numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Jose Reeves, David Reeves, Triston Conley, Matthew Conley, Weston Arnold, Austin Reeves, and Ben Knoles. Honorary pallbearers will be: Seth Reeves, Noah Conley, Nicholas Knoles, and Elijah Henderson.
