Monette McCoy Dendy, age 94, born December 10, 1928 in Marion, LA, passed away peacefully April 3, 2023 at Arbor Lake in Farmerville, LA. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Bernice, LA Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Michael McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, Saturday 7, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Bernice, LA.

Mrs. Monette loved her family and was a wonderful cook. There is no telling how many extras came in with her boys just to eat her cooking. She was employed at the Bernice Garment Factory and later as a teachers aide at Spearsville where she eventually retired.

Mrs. Monette loved her flowers and enjoyed showing off her famous plant, the Josephs Coat rose. Monette loved her church family and taught Sunday School into her 80's. She was a prayer warrior that you could always count on.

Mrs. Monette is preceded in death by her husband: Woody M. Dendy; her parents: Henry Andrew and Verna McCoy; baby Christopher; sisters: Cleo Goss, Kathleen Dison, and Gloria Tucker; her brothers: James H. McCoy and Victor Alle McCoy; and her daughter in law: Debbie Harlow Dendy.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister: Alice Dison; children: Bruce and Wife Karen, Woody Paul and wife Sharon, Danny and wife Kathy, Jeff and fiancé Amanda, Kevin and wife Sherri and Kenny Wayne. Numerous precious grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daxley Dendy, Eric Dendy, Chris Dendy, Danny Dendy, Jeffery Dendy, and Caleb Dendy. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joby Dendy.
