A funeral service for Mr. Milton A. "Cowboy" Smith, 91, of Rocky Branch, La. was held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, 10:00 AM at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La. Interment followed in Rocky Branch Cemetery in Farmerville, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Mr. Don DeLukie officiated the services.
Mr. Milton Smith passed away on September 28, 2021. Mr. Milton loved his family dearly and enjoyed being outdoors. Some of his hobbies consisted of hunting, fishing and trapping. Mr. Milton was a lifetime member of the National Trappers Association, a lifetime member of the Arkansas Trappers Association, and he received the Arkansas Trapper of the Year award in 2011. He worked at Commercial Solvents in Sterlington, La. for over 20 years, he was the owner of Smith Shoe Store, and he retired working for Reed Lumber Company. He was also a member of Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ. Mr. Milton was loved and will be missed by many.
Mr. Milton is preceded in death by: his loving wife of 50 years, Tommie Jean Goyne Smith; parents, M.A. and Alpha Smith; daughter, Debra Smith; and his sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Garner O'Connor.
Survivors include: his children, Ava Smith Bryan (Darel), Dee Dee Smith Saterfield (Tim) and Steve Smith (Nancy); grandchildren, Tate Smith (Jeanna), Amanda Chapman (Ryan), Nicholas Martin (Michelle), Christopher Martin (Heather), Colby Saterfield, Cassidy Green (Seth), Misty Francoeur (Mark) and Bradley Bryan; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, William, Jack, Gracie, Trevor, Nathan, Braydon, Kindell, Riley, Clinton, and Waylon.
Pallbearers were: Nicholas Martin, Christopher Martin, Colby Saterfield, Scott Smith, Barry Ramsey, Randy Ramsey. Honorary pall bearers were: Tate Smith, Seth Green, James Kennedy, Stanley Reed and Kerry Freeman.
The family would like to give special thanks to Ascend Hospice Group for their loving care for their father.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La.
