Mildred White
Crow
Jul 7, 1930 — Jun 24, 2024
Covington
Mildred W. Crow went home to be with our Lord on June 24, 2024. She was born on July 7, 1930, in Crossett, Arkansas, where she grew up and attended Crossett High School and was selected as "Termite Queen" her senior year. After high school, Mildred attended nursing school and became a Registered Nurse.
In 1954, Mildred married the love of her life, Jack Crow of Marion, Louisiana and they shared 35 wonderful years together until his passing in 1989. Mildred's life was marked by adventure and resilience as she lived in Slidell, Louisiana, Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, Kerrville, Texas, and Diamond head, Mississippi, before finding her final home in Covington, Louisiana.
Mildred enjoyed traveling and a variety of hobbies, but her greatest joy came from gathering friends and neighbors for coffee, where laughter and stories flowed freely.
Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack; her parents, Clarence and Icie White of Crossett; along with her sisters, Dolly Taylor and Lois Caston. She is survived by her devoted sons, Steve Crow (Maria) of Covington and Paul Crow (Kimberly) of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; two grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, who will always carry her memory in their hearts.
A short service honoring Mildred's life will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 28, 2024 at Concord Cemetery in Marion, LA, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Her family invites all who knew and loved Mildred, to join them in celebrating a life well-lived and enduring spirit.
