Funeral services for Matilda Ann Parker, age 64 of Sterlington, LA, will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery located at 623 US 80, Monroe, LA 71203.

Matilda was born and raised in Sterlington, Louisiana, a place she carried with her in her heart throughout her life. She was the cherished daughter of the late Marshall King and Muriel Dean Wallace Day, and the stepdaughter of the late Aubrey L. Day.

Matilda is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, and her brothers, Cliff Patton and James King.

She is the beloved wife of Jessie Parker, her partner in life and love.

Matilda found joy in life's simple pleasures, spending time with family, hunting, enjoying laughter-filled conversations, teaching a game of badminton, sharing stories, and caring for her many animals. She made every moment count.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Jessie Parker; her sisters, Connie Williams, Carla Russell, and Bonnie Price, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; along with a host of extended family and friends who were blessed to know and love her.

Though she will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing her spirit lives on in every laugh shared, every memory held close, and every act of kindness done in her honor.

Visitation will be held at 11:30 Am, prior to the service, at Farrar Funeral Home, Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
