Mary Elizabeth Wall, born on December 6, 1939, in Jacksonport, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana, at the age of 86.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 17, 2026 at First Assembly of God in Farmerville with Bro. Robbie Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Mary’s early years began in Monroe, LA, where she began her career, working at Bodans Pharmacy, Bell Pharmacy, and S.H. Kress. A significant chapter of Mary’s life unfolded at Lake Darbonne Country Club, where she served as the clubhouse manager for over 30 years. Her enduring commitment and cheerful presence became a cornerstone of the club, where members and guests alike were greeted by her welcoming smile and legendary hospitality. Among her numerous talents, Mary was particularly celebrated for her famous tuna fish sandwiches, a dish cherished by family, friends, and club patrons alike. Faith played a central role in Mary’s life. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Farmerville First Assembly of God, where her steadfast spirit and generosity of heart enriched her church community. The bonds Mary formed within the congregation were sources of strength, comfort, and shared joy throughout her life. Mary’s greatest joy, however, was found in the embrace of her family—especially her beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great grandchild. She poured her heart into every relationship, and the legacy of her love will continue to be felt for generations to come.
Mary was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 55 years, Don Wall; her father, Chester D. Mansker; her mother, Mary M. Welch; her brother, Chester E. Mansker; her grandmother Sadie Welch; and infant daughter, April.
Mary is survived by her loving children: daughter Elizabeth Almond (Randy), and son Donnie Wall (Sandy). Her memory is cherished by her grandchildren Nike Barber (Chris), Josh Meredith (Lacy), Ariel Wall, and Laney Wall (Adam); her great-grandchildren Gillian Ebarb, Jakob Childress, Ariannah Wade, Lykan Wall, Dean Spurlock, Kraven Marroquin, Tyler Barber, Jacob Barber; and great great grandchild, Lilah Barber; sisters, Eunice Collins (Mike), and Dolly Brown (John); and her brother, Ross Mansker (Jackie).
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Almond, Adam Spurlock, Chris Barber, Shayn Wade, Jakob Childress, and Mark Maddox.
The family will receive friends during visitation on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God, prior to the service.
