Graveside services for Mary Alice Matthews, 73, of Farmerville, La. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Mt. Patrick Cemetery with Bro. Aleck Nyegaard officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mrs. Matthews passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020.  She was a member of Mt. Patrick Baptist Church.  Mrs. Mary dedicated her life to her husband, sons, grandsons (Her Boys), and their friends.  She was very giving, kind, caring and loving.  She gave her all to those she loved in a selfless way, never asking for anything in return.

Mrs. Matthews was preceded in death by her parents, George & Ruth Hagan Lee; two sons, Todd "Fred" Matthews and Thad "Shorty" Matthews; and sister, Connie Gay Tucker.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Jerry Matthews; grandsons, John Bradley and Sam Matthews; daughter-in-law, Kam Matthews; sister-in-law, Edith Adkins (Chris); numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Robert Williams, Dwight Long, James Futch, John Bradley Matthews, Sam Matthews and Chris Adkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Patrick Cemetery Fund at 11778 Highway 2, Bernice, La.  71222.
