Funeral services for Mary Hellen Durfee, 70, of Spearsville will be held at 11:00am, Monday, June 11, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John & Sister Glenda Caradine officiating. Burial will be in North East Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery, in Rayville, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mrs. Durfee went to her heavenly home on June 6, 2018. Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Durfee was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, John Durfee; children, Jeffery Thompson, Roy & Troy Thompson and Zelma Marie Thompson; great granddaughter, Aubree Smith; and parents, Everett & Rosie Cummings Starcher.

Left to cherish her memory are four sons, Jason Thompson (Rosanna), James Thompson (Konnie), Jimmy Thompson (Patsy) and John Thompson, Jr. (Delores); one daughter, Elsie Cottrell (Jim); two brothers, Dale Starcher and Joe Starcher; four sisters, Evelyn Parker, Kathelyn Cash, Idice Conway and Juanita Harrison; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Johnny Smith, Jim Cottrell, Bryan Pace, Jason Thompson, Javen Cottrell, Kassie Thompson, and Jeffery Thompson .

Visitation will be Monday, June 11, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel from 9:00am – 11:00am.
