Mary was born October 16, 1929 to Rev. and Mrs. T.W. Wagnon in Banks, Arkansas and passed away September 2, 2024 with her three daughters by her side. She went to school in Swartz and Ouachita Parish but graduated from Farmerville High School in 1947. Mawmaw Buckley wrote Daddy a letter while he was in the Navy and stationed in Okinawa during WWII telling him that she had found him a bride. He would tell us how he laughed about that but when he came home from the war and met her, he fell in love. They were married in January of 1948. They built a home and moved in on their honeymoon where they lived all their lives and raised their three girls. Mary was a woman of many talents. She opened her dress shop, La Petite Shoppe, so that she could dress her three daughters. After that, she took up painting where she won many awards. Her print of her most famous painting "Memories of Farmerville" have been found all over the United States. Mary was known as "Mimi" to seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, along with many of the children in the church family.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, A.C.; her parents; sister, Katherine Goyne; and brothers, John C. and Cortez Wagnon.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Buckley, Wanda Roan (David), and Vickie McWhorter (Buck); grandchildren, Jonathan Smith (Katy), Joseph Smith, Andy Roan (Kristy), John Roan (Allison), Rosanne Snyder (Eric), Stephanie Rawls (Jeremy), and Chris McWhorter (Erin); 13 great grandchildren; two great great granddaughters; and sister, Faith Matthews.
