A funeral service for Marvin Alex Mauro, 37, of Farmerville, La., will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Beulah Baptist Church in Farmerville, La. with Bro. Dan Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Beulah Cemetery in Farmerville, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Beulah Baptist Church in Farmerville, La.

Marvin Alex Mauro, born July 6, 1984, left this earth to join his Savior on June 4, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. Alex made his living driving 18-wheelers, operating heavy machinery, and welding. He could do any job he set his mind to. Alex loved hunting, fishing, and all sports. He was one-of-a-kind and had a huge heart. He had a passion for life and cherished his family and friends dearly. He will be missed more than he'll ever know.

He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony "Tony" Mauro; grandparents, Marvin and Merle Lockwood and Anthony, Sr. and Rose Mauro; aunt, JoAnn Lockwood Terral; and uncles, Tommy Mauro and Irvin Hepting.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Janice Lockwood Mauro; brother, Anthony Mauro; special cousin, Savannah Temple; special friends, Keshia Hodge and Jamie Hodges; best friend, Jesse Hudson; son, Jayce Mauro; and nephew, Christian Mauro.

Pallbearers will be Barry Lockwood, Glenn Smithwick, Jesse Hudson, Jamie Brantley, Jamie Miller, and Matt Wade. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Riley, Bubba Wade, and Justin Wade.

A special thank you to the Lockwood family for all they have done for Alex.
