Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Robert Laing, Jr., age 78 of Farmerville, LA. will be held at 10:00AM Saturday February 18, 2023 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Walton officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mr. Marvin was a butcher by trade, retiring from Big Star in Farmerville, LA where he worked for over 20 years. He was the life of the party and loved to cook. You never left his house hungry. Marvin loved to talk and never met a stranger. He was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.

Mr. Marvin is preceded in death by his wife: Lucille Laing, his parents: Marvin Laing, Sr. and Alma Vaughn Laing, and son: Jeffery Laing.

He is survived by his son: Robert W. Laing and wife Roslyn, step children: Leon Whisenhunt, LaDonna Sandifer and husband James, and Larry Whisenhunt and wife Jackie, his grandchildren: Regina White, Tasha Manning and husband Dustin, Robert Laing, Jr. and Wife Amanda, Destiny Laing, Tyler Laing, Lexie Laing, Lucy Sandifer, Wyatt Whisenhunt, LaRanda Whisenhunt, and Jessica Whisenhunt, 19 great grandchildren, two brothers: john Laing and wife Debbie and Jerry Laing and wife Linda, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM Saturday February 18, 2023 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.
