Funeral services for Mr. Mark Wayne Cosby, age 70 of Downsville, La, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 12, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Calhoun, La. Bro. Eric Green and Bro. Stanton Groan will be officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Calhoun, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mark was a West Monroe native. During his lifetime he worked on the pipeline, with Ouachita Parish Public Works, and finished his career with the West Monroe Convention Center as head of maintenance. Mark was a member of First Baptist Church in Calhoun. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he loved his family and cared for them deeply.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Lorraine Hair; father, Bruce Cosby; sister, Dianne Stevens; and two brothers, Kenneth and Bruce Cosby.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Christine Cosby; three daughters, Jenny Finch, Amandy Benson (Richard), and Ashley Williams (Kyle); six grandchildren, Bailey Frith (Jay), Breanna Clifton (Connor), Brennen Benson, Caleb Finch, Christian Finch, and Kyler Williams; three great grandchildren, Jayden, Emma, and Anna Frith, and a fourth on the way; and his beloved dog Daisey.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brennen Benson, Caleb Finch, Christian Finch, Kyler Williams, Wesley Ragus, Alex Culpepper, Jay Frith, Richard Eaten, and Kyle Williams. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Connor Clifton.

Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 11, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Calhoun.
