Funeral services for Maria Esmeralda Sanchez, 35, will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday July 27, 2019 at Zion Hill Baptist Church near Farmerville with Rev Connie Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Maria was a loving mother who sacrificed dearly for her children, they were her pride and joy.
She was employed by La Bamba Mexican Restaurant in Ruston for a number of years. Her fellow employees said the following about her: "There are a few unforgettable people that you'll meet in your life; this wonderful woman was definitely one of them. We were lucky to enough to call her a friend. Miss Esmeralda, you were the sweetest and funniest and the most loving and you will be sorely missed!"

Maria was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons: Alexander "Alex" Valasquez, Cristhiam "Cris" Valasquez; mother, Andrea Sanchez; father, Bruno Sanchez; children's father, Alejandro Valasquez; six brothers: Jhoel Sanchez, Misael Sanchez, Wualditrudes Sanchez, Santos Anjel Sanchez, Santos Santiago Sanchez, Teofile Sanchez; two sisters: Clorinda Sanchez, and Gregoria Sanchez; her guardian, Steve Holmes and Mamacita, Carolyn Holmes.

Visitation will be from 10 till noon at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Saturday July 27, 2019

The family requests that any donations be made through any Origin bank location in Maria Esmeralda Sanchez name.
