Funeral services for Madie "Lil Sis" Bayles, 85, of Truxno will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Bird's Chapel Methodist Church with Bro. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Bird's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mrs. Bayles went to her heavenly home on September 29, 2019. Madie, better known as "Lil Sis" was a lifelong member of Bird's Chapel Methodist Church. She loved her Lord and gospel music. Madie enjoyed participating in the Senior Olympics, coming home as the winner in the Wheel Chair Race and second runner-up in the Corn Hole Toss. She was an avid Union Parish High School Football and New Orleans Saints fan.

Mrs. Bayles was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Welton Opal Bayles; daughter, Opal Annice McCallum; parents, James Hamp & Blanche Pyle Nale; six sisters; three brothers; and one half-brother.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Rhonda McVicker &husband, Kent and Kim Dumas and husband, Mickey; five grandchildren, Mitzi Pennington, Tammy Hancock, Stephanie Hollis, Jonathan McVicker and Shannon Dumas; eleven great-grandchildren, Carole Martin, Jennifer Deason, Josh Phillips, Bryan Phillips, Emily Phillips, J.J. McVicker, Mathew Thomas, Jake McVicker, Braden Hollis, Hagan Hollis, and Autumn Dumas; three great great-grandchildren, Madeline Martin, Hailyn Phillips and Beaux Phillips; special friend and her eyes, Billie Crow; her Sunshine, Ethel Wilkes; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Tony Scarborough, James Knight, Harlin Knight, Jimmy Miller, Joey Phillips, Steve Phillips, David Herring and Boyd Knight.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2019 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
