Funeral services for Luther Adams Jasper, 80, of Downsville will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, March 18, 2019 at Holmesville Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Whitman officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Jasper passed away on March 15, 2019. He was a native of Copiah County, Mississippi and a 1957 graduate of Hazlehurst High School. Mr. Jasper was also a Vietnam Veteran. Before he retired and moved to Lake D'Arbonne in 2003, he was employed at George Bell Carpets, Motorola Communications, owner of Jasper's Biscuit Shop, Morgan White Group, all of Jackson, Ms. After retirement, he continued to work at Lowe's in Ruston, La. Mr. Jasper was the Chairman of Deacons at Holmesville Baptist Church and was on the Mt. Nebo cemetery committee.

Mr. Jasper was preceded in death by his parents, N.C. & Olivette Norton Jasper; three brothers, Norman, Lamar and Dude; and three sisters, Emma, Vera Mae and Marilyn.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Judy Spurlock Jasper of Downsville, La.; two sons, Joel Jasper & wife, Shirley of Brandon, Ms. and Jeff Jasper & wife, Jennifer of Hoover, Al.; four grandchildren, Jessica Jasper, Jared Jasper, Hayden Jasper and Chasely Jasper; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jared Jasper, Hayden Jasper, Steven Diebold, Tim Otwell, Lamar Hancock and Bob Tom Riser.

Honorary pallbearers will be Corky Crane and Butch Pardue.

Visitation will be from 5:30p.m. – 7:30p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Holmesville Baptist Church.
