Funeral services for Lonnie Raymond Farley, age 75 of Homer, La will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday September 12, 2022 at Sharon Baptist Church in Dubach, La under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville, La with Br. Jeff Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery in Dubach, La.

Mr. Lonnie Farley was a 1965 graduate of Lisbon High School and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. He retired as Superintendent of Bernice Water System. Lonnie was employed with Ludlow of Homer as well. He enjoyed working on small engines and was the owner of Farley's Small Engine Repair.

Lonnie loved to fish and loved taking his children and grandchildren fishing at Papaws Pond. He was an excellent skier and spent many hours on the water with his family. Lonnie was known for keeping his yard pristine and he loved frying fish and grilling. He always took time with his family especially teaching them gun safety. Lonnie was a big jokester and was given the nickname "Lonzo" by his friends. He could also recite many poems by heart. Mr. Lonnie will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents; Raymond and Edna Wilson Farley and sister; Debra Farley Hinkie.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years; Melinda Gardner Farley, two daughters; Leslie Farley Pitcavage and Tammy Farley, one son; David Farley, two sisters; Patsy Davis (Johnny) and Darlene Madole (Travis), two brothers; Wayne Farley (Retha) and Donald Farley (Paula, grandchildren; Alexis Fleming, Chastin Manning (Matthew), Chelsey Powell, Nicholas Fleming, Sohpia Pitcavage, and Chloe Gorman, great grandchild; Camilla Kale Manning, and Godson; Daniel Richard Nutt.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Davis, Daniel Nutt, Jason Farley, Alex Farley, Shane Farley, and Joseph Wilson.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service, Monday, September 12, 2022.
