Lois Katherine Watson Ross of Fredericksburg, TX, passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 97. She had ben a resident of Arbor Rose Assisted Living in Farmerville for six years. A celebration of her life with family members will be held in Fredericksburg, TX, in the near future.

Lois was born July 26, 1927, in Pearland, Texas, the daughter of Guy Leland and Dorothy Richards Watson. She graduated from Pearland High School in 1943 as valedictorian of her class. She married Lloyd Warren Ross in February 1945 at the Minnetex Community Church. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2011.

Lois worked many years in the accounting profession. She and her husband retired in 1979 and moved from Houston to Fredericksburg where she was active in Faith Baptist Church and also First Baptist Church. For many years she served as a volunteer at Hill Country Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by one daughter, Sheryl and husband Ken Cooper; three grandchildren: Gary Lardon and wife Karie; Danny Bernard and wife Susan; and Susan; and Lisa Watts and Husband Johnathan. She also had six great grandchildren: Chloe Lardon, Isabella Bernard, Abryanna Watts, Colten Watts, Jacob Bernard, and Vaeda McGarr Nitsos and husband Jason. She had three great great grandchildren as well: River McGarr, Lila McGarr, and Beckham Nitsos.

Lois was preceded in death by a daughter Arlene Wurzburg, an infant son Lloyd Gary Ross, and brother Ray Leland Watson.

Lois's family would like to give thanks to Arbor Rose Assisted Living and all of the kind people who waited and loved on her for six years. She felt very comfortable, safe, and content there during the years of her life.
