A graveside service for Mrs. Linda Joyce Skinner, age 82 of Bernice, LA, will be held at 3:30 PM, Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Bernice City Cemetery with Bro. Jeff Hurst Officiating, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Linda graduated from Homer High School in 1960. After graduation she worked as a teacher's aide at Lillie Elementary School and finished out her career at Reeves Memorial Health Clinic.

Mrs. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Skinner; parents, Frank and Etta Mae Covington; two sisters, Becky Castleman and Mary Newton; and one brother, Charles Covington.

She is survived by her son, John Skinner and wife Shannon; daughter, Mary Hurst and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Justin Hurst and wife Brandy, Tyler Hurst and wife Macy, Dacoda Skinner, and Bailee Hurst; and three great grandchildren; Laney, Mary Tyler, and Everly Hurst.
