A funeral service for Linda Reader Bettell, 76, of Bernice, La., will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, 10:00 AM at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La. with Bro. Greg Morrow and Bro. Larry Bullock officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Bernice, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Linda Reader Bettell, daughter to J.C. Reader and Francis Lucille Dumas Reader, was born on December 8, 1944. Linda left this world on November 3, 2021 after a lengthy illness. Linda and Jerry moved to the lake in the late 90's. She loved all of her neighbors on Sam Rogers Road. She enjoyed talking with her neighbors every chance she got. She really enjoyed playing games, reading, and fishing. Linda was a great example of how to be "the hands and feet of Jesus". She enjoyed helping and praying for others. Linda was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by many.

Linda was preceded in death by: her parents, J.C. and Lucille Reader; her husband of 37 years, Jerry Dean Bettell; son, Jeffrey Bettell; and daughter, Kahne Lindsey.

She is survived by: her daughter, Paula Rose; grandsons, Jimmy Rose (Jacobie), Hunter Rose, Jason Lindsey and Tyler Lindsey; sisters, Sue Morris (Ken), Jenny Eubanks (Allen), and Debra Thornhill; brothers, Bill Reader (Sharon) and Travis Reader (Penny).

Pallbearers for the service will be: Jimmy Rose, Hunter Rose, Shelby Reader, Ben Pierce, Joey Butt, and Stacie Brewster.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La.
